На аварийной атомной электростанции «Фукусима-1» в Японии произошла очередная утечка радиоактивной воды. Об этом во вторник, 1 октября, сообщает агентство Reuters со ссылкой на компанию-оператора электростанции.

Утечка произошла во время перекачки скопившейся на станции дождевой воды из одного резервуара в другой. Ее объем составил около четырех тонн. По словам представителя компании Tokyo Electric Power Co (Tepco), уровень загрязнения воды пока точно не определен.

В начале сентября компания заявила о намерении вложить в общей сложности почти полмиллиарда долларов в очистку хранящейся на электростанции радиоактивной воды и заморозку грунта вокруг станции. Эти меры призваны предотвратить попадание загрязненной воды в Тихий океан в случае ее утечки.

Поводом для разработки такого проекта стал инцидент, произошедший на АЭС в августе 2013 года. Тогда из хранилищ станции произошла крупная утечка загрязненной воды, использовавшейся для охлаждения расплавившихся топливных сборок. Впоследствии проверка выявила течь еще в нескольких резервуарах и существенное повышение уровня радиации на одном из участков станции.

При этом масштабные утечки радиоактивной воды со станции происходили и раньше. Всего с момента аварии были зафиксированы пять подобных инцидентов.

Авария на АЭС «Фукусима-1» произошла в марте 2011 года. Тогда в результате землетрясения и последовавшего за ним цунами вышла из строя система охлаждения реакторов. Из-за радиационного заражения свои дома пришлось покинуть 300 тысячам человек, проживавших в ее окрестностях. Эксперты считают, что на ликвидацию последствий аварии уйдет не менее 40 лет.
